Vale Deah (Instrumental)

This song is from the album Roses are Red, Violets are Blue 20th Anniversary Edition.

It's such a simple little song, but it's grown to mean a lot to us. We recorded the song live at Fort Apache on Camp Street, and even though this was the "B" or "C" room, the engineer Brian Brown had good sound isolation, and we had the foresight to ask for "TV Mixes," or instrumentals of this tune, and No One. I remember we kept messing it up and kept getting frustrated, and Wendy had the idea to turn down all the lights in the main room, and that's when we got this take. Bits of this version along with the original were used in the final moments of Red vs. Blue Restoration to conclude the show's 21-year ride.
