FJ.C. is a founding member of the CMJ college radio charting indie pop band Rosemary Caine, which was active from 1991 to 1997.

A prolific songwriter and guitarist, J.C. also has a deep interest in American old-time music, and specifically clawhammer style banjo.

When he's not busy playing guitar, piano, or banjo, J.C. fixes brains. Seriously, he's a brain surgeon.
